So I am the only one here who will take out the trash. I just walked into the kitchen and the lid had been taken off the trash can, a bunch of pizza boxes and other random shit very carefully balanced on top, and then the lid very carefully balanced on top of that. I am torn between just keeping my own trash bag for my trash and letting the rest go to hell, or just going over the top and doing my best to add to the pile by either balancing more on top of the trash can or since it looks very precarious duct taping my trash to the side of it.

my old roommates thought i was bad.. the guy who took over my place literally would not fucking clean a dish or take out a bag of trash, no matter what. it got so bad they put all the trash bags on HIS BED and he just threw them on the fucking floor and STILL SLEPT IN THERE

shit i'd at least throw the trash in the laundry room, shut the door, and take it out when it started stinking

Got this email from my landlord the other day (he only has one property so he is ALL up in our business all the time.)

Under your leases, EACH of you is responsible for keeping the common
areas "clean as condition permits" so it is not sufficient to simply
blame someone else. I will be over sometime today (late morning to
early evening timeframe) to assess the situation with kitchen
uncleanliness and to do some cleaning.

Yeah.

When I got that email I went into the kitchen- there was one frying pan soaking in the sink, two water glasses, a pizza cutter on a cutting board and an empty freshetta box. The drip dry thing was full also, cause my roommates don't believe in the dishwasher. And it needed to be mopped. Thats it.

I now am afraid to cook in my house for fear of fines. Bullshit.

My roommate called my landlord to come clean THAT up.

I would laugh my ass off if a tenant tried to get me to referee between roomates, if you need that much hand holding you should go back to your parents house.
