I'm familiar with the home court advantage. Let's just watch some basketball and cheer for our team, as we feel like it. As a fan, I don't need a fucking cue from my neighbors to get me cheering or a sheet to remind me what to say when. If that's what we need, then we should also look into getting some new fans.

And I've attended some games at Reynolds, and I acknowledge that there are some simlarities between Reynolds and Cameron. But it's not the same. Duke followed in the tradition of Reynolds and took it to a whole nother level of obnoxiousness. Having a stand only section packed with drunken nerds in face paint just three feet from the court, nerds who readily admit that they don't watch any sports other than Duke basketball...that's just shitty.

They did it. Duke did it. They secured their spot as the university of the most obnoxious, foolish fans in college basketball. We can't beat them. We shouldn't want to beat them. They won.

Now why can't we just watch some basketball?

I really am. And I'm kind of happy about it.

But seriously, if y'all want something realistic...just go with the standard "air ball" cheer on Paulus. Except chant "flop flop flop" when he gets the ball.

And if another Duke player flops obviously during the game, cheer it on his ass, too.

Shit, we should do this for any player who flops in any game. Just like we do airballers (and I don't even like the airball bit).

I know that nearly all the Duke players should get the "FLOP!" treatment but just start with Paulus for now. Anybody who watches the ACC will know that we don't just mean Paulus.

I approve of this cheer. It's a lot more positive than insinutating a guy has herpes or that he didn't perform well on a standardized test of college readiness.
