The cat was crying with displeasure when he dumped it off into the water, for those of you who didn't see it.

I have a cat who used to lay on the platform of the pool ladder and would sometimes just stick one paw into the water. He would sit there and watch us play too. We would splash him and he'd be all like "Srsly, stop it." But when we put him in the pool out of curiosity, he swam to the edge and jumped out. After he dried, he was right back on the pool ladded. I don't really know the point of this story, but I wanted to share. BTW, he never cried.

Last summer, I put Grits in the pool because he smelled bad and needed a bath. His hair is so long that I had to do it twice to get him completely wet. I sure wasn't going to put his monster-sized ass in the tub and get clawed do death! BTW, he never cried. Really, he didn't seem to mind it too bad.


I am not going to form an opinion on this issue.

I bet it was a male and there were eggs close by. They will flog your ass if you get near their eggs. I was chased on a big deck mower a few times for mowing too close to a nest. The pair came after me, and a few other pairs. Lucky1 and I got on the golf cart once and drove down to the pond... I guess there were eggs close by because they chased us, till we started chasing them, but that didn't last long, because they turned back and were doing that thing where they take a couple steps and start gliding, land, take a couple steps, and start gliding again... I was scared! Also, if you have ever seen a goose bill up close, they have modified their bill to have teeth-like projections. I assume it has evolved with their grass diet to help grip and pull the shoots out of the ground. Geese are a really neat bird species.
