yea roses are too cliche. well... i take that kindof back. mostly just red roses. other kinds of roses can be pretty. but yea, i'd rather have a diff flower all together. tulips are way pretty. i don't really want/expect flowers but if i did i'd rather have a potted plant. or potted flower. a bouquet, pretty as they are, just dies in like 2.5 seconds anyway. i guess i can understand from the male's point of view the annoyance of buying $30+ worth of flowers that will last like a week. i think that maybe sending flowers is better if you are in a distance relationship. i dunno. cheesy weesy holiday!!

[Edited on February 12, 2008 at 11:16 PM. Reason : I also never get bouquets, i think a grouping of 1 kind look much better]

that's my attitude on it too. You pay $texas for something that is pretty much already dead. I'd rather just get a potted plant/flower, or something that will last longer than a few days. It's sad to watch a gift decay like that. I'm glad my boyfriend doesn't give me flowers. But I'll gladly accept chocolate.

^^see, we're all different and that's what makes it a pain in the ass interesting
I would much rather have flowers, because then I don't feel badly about killing the plant slowly.
