Again, although my appeal is likely futile, pick up this book. It's actually a fascinating account of how much devastation was wrought (unintentionally) well before the first English colonists ever got here, and its lasting impact - as well as the broad size and scope of environmental impact of the Native Americans (contrary to popular belief, they did not simply let the land do as it would, but engaged in massive ecological engineering).

You'll never look at zoonoitc diseases (read: bird flu) the same way again. It's also a very striking picture of why the Native Americans seemed so backwards when English colonists got here, while managing such advanced civilizations when the Spanish had encountered them.

Great, you guys have attracted the great and all knowing Bridget into this thread. You can rest soundly at night knowing that she will always be anywhere on TWW in a moment's notice to defend people of African descent and denigrate those of European.

It's no secret that all white civilizations are composed of evil, slovenly cretins that spanned the globe looking for upstanding and honorable people to oppress. There is absolutely no reason to ever look beyond any situation once you find white people involved because it's clear that it is they who have swooped in to ruin the Eden like existence of people across the globe.

So here's to you self-loathing pseudo intellectuals. We know that whenever you see the chance, you will spew your racism whenever you can and think that it is OK because you are of that race. You have shown time and time again that instead of providing information to curious posters such as IAMSTONED, you instead choose to call them names and brow beat them. If there is one sure way to convince someone of your views, that must be it.

and I'm not exactly sure what made the europeans, immoral maybe but they certainly established order to accomplish their goals and I don't think they just decided to pack up and go home, the african peoples fought for their complete independence and now they have it
