Apparently the Wii version has three additional levels and a duel mode that are completely lacking in the 360/PS3 version.

Yeah but I'm sure the rest of the game for the wii will be complete shit. The wii gets so fucked with their ports.

The force use sounds fun, but I haven't heard much about the lightsaber combat.

They just need to make a new Jedi Knight game

I used to go to that big arena like place near the end of the game, where you jump out of some duct into a room with a platform in it.

Then I would turn on the "can't die" mode (where you take damage, but it stops at 1)

Then spawn 4 or 5 of the lightsaber stormtroopers and try to take them all out before I got to 1 HP.

I got really good at saber combat, I would go online and molest people.

^You get the 360 version or the Wii version?

IGN gave the Wii version a better rating and said that the motion controls for the saber and force are a lot better than everyone expected. I'm still iffy though. But that duel mode and the extra levels are inviting.

I wouldn't buy it. Definitely a good rent though. Plays like God of War, just not as good. I just beat the 3rd level and the story is starting to take off.

The Wii version also has 5 more levels on it.

Has anyone played the Wii version yet? I'd like to know how the controls feel.

I just read that the Wii version is pretty dank with the motion controls, but it gives up A LOT of ground as far as graphics go.

The graphics are fine on the wii, the gameplay is pretty good once you get a handle on it, though it's weird at first. Haven't played multiplayer yet but will try to do so within the next week.

I remember there was a room that was quite literally a training room, where you could activate a control switch and it would raise the floor columns to certain heights. I had a saved game there and would spawn dozens of troopers, reborns, and other assorted enemies and take them all out. That was a lot more fun to me than the actual game

I like the story and graphics (PS3 version) but the controls are really frustrating during parts. The lock on system and aim are very frustrating, I feel like it's too herky jerky and it is not refined enough and during some parts I feel like I'm just button mashing. I feel like the way they do it should be set up like KOTOR. This game would have blown my mind 3 years ago. Probably will trade it in once I beat it.

The targeting system definitely could have used some more work. There are many, many times where I was locking onto something I had no intention of throwing or shooting or whatever. It gets pretty frustrating.

I also don't like how they made the bosses ridiculously hard to beat. I'm playing it through on hard and I just think it's fucked up that they save the game in the middle of boss fights. I mean, making these fights harder just to get more playthrough time in is a pretty poor strategy for making a good game.

IGN really wasn't lying when they said the level design was uninspired. The main character's acting is also really weak.

Those are really the only criticisms I have though. It's still a fun as hell game.

^^ if you use the combos that include lighting in your attacks he's really freaking easy actually, as are the junk titans. As for when he throws shit at you, try getting behind the tie fighter front glass, everything he throws at you will explode against that instead of hitting you, if one does get through just use l-bumper to jump out of the way.

my roommate did struggle against him, but i whooped his ass first time through.

Picked it up for the Wii yesterday. I almost beat it in one sitting (made it to the very last level, at least), but I had to get up early for work. It's shorter than I imagined it would be.

Overall it was not very difficult, a couple of the bosses doing some pretty cheap shit notwithstanding. I didn't find all of the extra stuff, so that's definitely an excuse to play back through it.

One of the neat things is that all of the stuff you found (extra stuff, force powers, etc) carry over when you start over, so you can start at the beginning much stronger than when you first play the game. You'll definitely be advancing through the early levels a lot faster. I'm guessing this is where most of gameplay comes in; replaying the game again and again until you max out all of your stats.

IMO some more imagination could have gone into some of these force powers. Some of them are the exact same thing, you just have to do a different combo to activate them. And maybe I haven't gotten them to a high enough level yet, but I was hoping some of these would be pretty violent and destructive.

I give a 7 out of 10. Definitely fun to play and worth at least one play through, but in retrospect I might have wanted to have rented this. Once again I got caught up in the hype.

I like this system because I get reviews of new games that aren't horribly sensationalist, horribly biased, horribly stupid, or horribly paid-off.

I've just started it on the Wii. Am I missing something about saving games? Whenever I save, turn off the console, and come back later, they restart me at the beginning of the level.

Is there no penalty for dying in this game? If you die, it seems that all that happens to you is that you respawn with full health a little ways away from the action. It's not like Halo where you have to kill a bunch of enemies all over again. I'd expect there would at least be a penalty in force points or something.

I'm having fun with the game so far. The high level power get freakishly destructive when you start stringing them all together. If you learn how to chain combos together you really start to feel bad for the random dudes your subjecting to monster overkill.

the deathstar level was really kicking my ass tonight. I'd fuck everything up (including the two AT-STs) and then 3 or 4 purge troopers and those douchebag stormtroopers that absorb lighting would pop up and I'd be fucking a few up while the others wailed on me. really started to piss me off.

Finally maxed out every last force power. Some of the powers get to look and feel pretty awesome at full power, others....not so much.

And I've almost found all of the extra shit. I've found 191 or so out of 200 holocrons, 8 out of 10 saber hilts, and have only two colored crystals left to find. I have no idea if I've collected all of the health and force upgrades or not.

^ Just remember that the opening room is an infinite spawn room. Get out of there as soon as you can. Also, taking out the snipers should be a priority.
