heh.
I have bags and bags of my husband's old khakis sitting in the attic. Plus a drawerful that should probably join them. So, yes, perhaps I could. 2/18/2008 11:03:16 PM |

SINCE WHEN ARE WIND PANTS MORE PROFESSIONAL THAN JEANS
I think your new director should be fired for even making that suggestion. He/she is obviously too stupid for the job.2/18/2008 11:05:28 PM |

If they really want to keep you as a member of their staff, they would likely agree to some sort of clothing allowance. I know of several people whose jobs require them to wear a uniform, but the standard clothing provided by the company does not come in anything remotely their size. Their jobs have allowed them to independently purchase clothing that fits and they reimburse them the cost of the clothing within reason. 2/18/2008 11:29:41 PM |

I had to wear khakis on my last job. I wore the same damn pair, stains or no, every day. There were significant tears in the back that I had to cover with my shirt.
Suck it up and get a pair of pants at Goodwill for less than 5 dollars. If you don't have five extra dollars, get another job.2/18/2008 11:36:37 PM |

See if your dad will front you 20 bucks to get a couple of cheap pairs.
also, I might work at looking at your budget to see if anything can be cut out. 2/18/2008 11:43:50 PM |

Lol at you guys for thinking I'm in tears over a pair of pants. I'm not that worked up, it's just a matter of them springing a dress code like this on us all of a sudden.
Also, I am a female, so I can't go and buy men's clothes (at least I don't want to).
Also, what is so confusing about me not wanting to wear a pair of my church pants to work?
Also, stop making such a huge fuss over the situation I had, I already agreed that I should go to a thrift store, read the thread next time folks.
Also, I'm up at 5 in the morning because I think I have a UTI and I really don't wanna have to go to the doctor for it. 2/19/2008 5:13:29 AM |

ahhh, I read the UTI thread first... Now it actually makes sense. (The pants part, not the "all that sex" part.) 2/19/2008 5:48:51 AM |

What's this about having to buy several pairs so you don't have to wash them every day? Do you seriously wash your pants every day??? Ha, I wash my jeans like once a month if that. 2/19/2008 9:54:57 AM |
