A guy can dream can't he?? lol

I've seen this WAY too many times. Dook and or unc-ch have in the past had teams that looked unstoppable only to not get all the BS calls in the NCAAs and of course dook always seems to lose their legs, 3's don't fall... Hansblow will get into foul trouble, refs might actually call the travels... A lot can happen to give or take away a championship run.

i hate duke with a passion and i think it comes down to two things

1) The usual punk cocksucking white guy who is way too arrogant (Wojo, Redick, Paulus)
2) The insane amount of flopping that goes on everytime duke is on the defensive end. During the UVA/Duke game I counted a guy hitting the deck almost every UVA possession

With that being said, I dont think Duke can get to the final four unless they can become more consistent inside the 3 pt line

unc will probably win it all, which is very annoying.

Really? What makes this year's team any different than the last 20 they have had?

^you must have forgotten who's coaching the Jayhawks right now. Bill Self, a perenial choker in the tournament.

i really hope unc doesnt win it all. if they do, all 08 grads would have had their college careers bookended with unc NCs with NCSU having done nothing releveant during that time.

howcome duke winning the acc tourney would still give unc the 1 seed. can somebody explain that? is it because duke has an extra loss or do they figure out seeding before the conference tournies?

if unc won the game saturday they get the top #1 seed and their first 4 games at home.

I'm just wondering why conference tournaments don't count towards who gets that. Is this a new thing?

UNC can still lose their number 1 seed but they'd probably have to lose in the first round of the ACC tournament.

If Duke wins the ACC, they should be get the #1 seed regardless of when Carolina loses.

yeah i agree with ernie...12 teams automatically makes a conference #1 seedable after a winner wins

Duke has won 7 of the past 9 tournaments, and been in 9 of the past 10 finals.

I wouldn't count them out.

i just dont see how unc will not make a 1 seed. They could lose by 40 on friday and still get it. Duke is pretty much a guaranteed 2 seed anyway.

[Edited on March 11, 2008 at 11:56 AM. Reason : i agree but its a coin toss. Duke hasnt done very well in the past few years as a top seed though]
