I'm NOT saying its a better car, but its possible make work in the right hands i guess. It was also driven by a super human driver who normally drives a CRX. He got out and on his 2nd run in the Camara (can you think of a more opposite car from a CRX?) sets FTD.

i mean seriously.
how many people need to say something like this
it doesnt matter that he doesnt have your typical magazine ricer racer car.
he wants to build up a car.
i have much more respect for people that i see at HPDEs with mustangs and other cars that "arent" suppose to handle than i do with folks with cars that come off the line handling. (counting myself).
but of course i have a lot of respect for people tracking their cars. but just saying.

Good lord looks like i hit a few nerves. Personally its not critical to me what the hell anyone thinks, its my car, i like it, its fun, and i like to tinker. Did I post on here to get some opinions sure, who doesnt like a little friendly conversaton on a topic they enjoy?
Everyone has their automotive tastes, and each is great as some have mentioned, as long as people are willing to put the time in and enjoy it, wonderful.
Examples: baonest = fwd loving autox er BigBlueRam = pretty must loves everything arghx = fd's and fc's if i recall God = mr2 theDuke866 = generally small quick imports with the occasional old ass bronco etc....
I could definately appreciate any one of the above choices for certain things. I can even appreciate some ricer that does nothing but add a body kit and the biggest wing they can find. Their money, they like it, o well, no skin off my nose. At least they do the work.
Each to their own.
And by the way to whoever posted it, the link to corner carvers has some really good ideas.

Spend more money modding the car than its worth.
Great idea. I think you should try your best to compete with cars with a better head start. It's totally worth it. 2/27/2008 10:06:56 PM |

dont start that arguement.
not every car has to be a "project car".

they guy isnt building a track car.
he wants to improve on something he has. which is totally a sense of achievement.
good ole muscle cars have the rep of being fast in a strait line. some people love that. some want to change that.
one of my biggest projects ive wanted was a 5.0mustang and to build it for track purposes. yeah, its a lot of money that you could have spent somewhere else. but its a huge sense of achievement. 2/27/2008 10:15:45 PM |

you wouldn't spend a dime on mustang when you've got a thoroughbred race stallion civic hatchback! 2/27/2008 10:17:09 PM |
