I just beat it. A little over 17 hours of gameplay time. And I feel like I did a large portion of the side quests. I have to say I feel a little let down at the size of it all. I guess now I could play it again as an evil mage or something. But I don't really feel like I missed a lot the first time through.

So it's pretty much like the first one in relations to promises vs what we got.

^Honestly, who makes an Adventure/RPG and thinks that <20 hours for even just the main story is acceptable? With sidequests, most decent RPGs are 30 or 40 hours. It's like they're being lasy just for the sake of disappointing their customers...

Oh well, at least it isn't ~8 hours or less, like the first one.

Actually the more I think about it, the more pissed off I am. I won't spoil things but the ending sequence is a joke. It's like they ran out of time so they're like...oh shit, hurry up and put an ending in quick!

I really feel pissed off and let down over this.

Yeah, I surely can't say I didn't get my money's worth. Although if I would have spent $60, I'd be mad as hell. I guess after you beat the game in 2 days you can always sell it on craigslist or take it to gamestop for $40. But no way is this game $60 of value.

^^^ What bothered me about the ending in the first one was how it was hyped that every decision I made would change the outcome of the game, if I was totally evil or totally good, you would see completely different things

and then it actually turns out that only the very last decision in the game decided which ending you got

Is this one any different? Are there different endings that you can tell, or are they pretty much either the same, or all down to one final decision?

Anyone else have problems with loading screens hanging randomly?

I'll play the game no problem and then it'll just sit forever on a loading screen, little gears on the left keep turning, but it never finishes loading. This also happens a lot when initially loading a saved game.

I don't know what you'd consider to be a lot but I did think that I got quite a bit. I have 26/50 for 595 points. All of that was from natural gameplay. I didn't read the achievements and try to do anything I normally wouldn't have to get them.

I played it again yesterday for a few more hours and finished up most all of the side missions that I missed out on. Several missions become available only after beating the game. I can say now that unless I feel like hunting down all 100 of the "hidden items" I'm pretty much so done completely. There's a couple more things that I know I could do to get 100% but I never really was much of a completionist.

bah, I hate hidden items in games, just a way to extend playtime

and yeah, i'd say about half is a good amount without altering your normal play style

I didn't know what the hero save glitch was until I googled it. If I'm understanding what it is correctly, it doesn't seem like it would be possible to duplicate it in Fable 2 as there isn't really a "hero save" function.

I did "lose" 2 children however. I don't know if that was a save glitch, or a normal one or whatever, but one day I had 3 kids and the next I just had 1 (the firstborn). And I can't seem to knock my wife up anymore.

But I don't think I saw any other glitches.

The hero save glitch basically would let you save out, while keeping all exp/items gained

for example, if you started a quest (example, arena quest), and got all the way to the end, and then hero saved, you could reload your game, and be at the beginning of the arena quest, yet still have all the exp, gold, and items gained from your previous playthrough. After hero saving, I was able to completely max out my character with about 3 or 4 arena quest play throughs.

^^I only asked because in the past, games that have shipped to stores way in advance still don't go on the shelf until the day after the 'official' ship date. so whenever ebgames.com says "releases 10/21" it means it ships that day and will be on the shelf 10/22.

i'll have to go to best buy at lunch and check it out.

Big name games like Madden, GTA, Halo, etc almost always are on the shelves on the tuesday they release

Its the smaller titles that ship on that tuesday and aren't on shelves till Weds or Thurs

Don't feel bad about buying the Limited Edition. You get Halo Gear & two extra dungeons that will probably make their way to the marketplace.

We didn't receive any extra LE's at my Gamestop & we had two people looking to upgrade last night when they bought the regular editions.

I'm a fat evil dyke. The only time I'm nice to anyone is when I'm getting them to follow me into my house, kill them, then buy their house/shop at a discount.

I've just made it out of Bowerstone and a tip I would give is to buy the jewlery stall, wait for a sale, buy all their gems/rings at ~%60 off, and sell them to the general store across the bridge. Between that, the blacksmith, and robbin people I bought ~50k worth of property before I continued the story.

In the first one, it was so much easier to play the game if you were a "good" guy

you could get tons of people to fall in love with you and follow you

I hated the sound of all the people screaming when I was evil...just got annoying

This one is exactly the same. You don't even have to mix up the expressions, just pick one, spam it, and everyone is ready to marry you.

The entire game is retarded easy, I don't think I "died" a single time during the main story. And even if you do "die" you just get a scar on your body and lose whatever experience you have not collected, and bounce right back. No reloading the most recent save, no challenge at all.

Well, I completed it as much as I'm going to tonight

i get paid 15000 gold every 5 minutes, completed damn near everything. Only achievements left are for getting the dolls, and completionist (which I refuse to get because you have buy the Arcade pub games to get it), and a couple of dinky 5pt ones.

Really fun game for sure But only a few days of entertainment. I really wish there was some replay value, or some real online element to the game to extend the play.

I only did a few quests, but i went in to town afterwards and went to a bar to try and get a bunch of bitches drunk, but i just realized i was drinking myself, and i wasn't even drinking beer (i was drunking apple juice or something) so i got fat i did like 2 more quests and i'm still fat.
