In the BAYNES 2 (which as TheDuke said is a DP or SID) they proceed via radar vectors or direct to the GSO VOR (which is a navigational aid) then fly outbound on the 080 radial for 23 NM. Sounds like your place is probably right after the GSO VOR, on the 080 radial. 3/19/2008 12:49:52 AM |

i used to live right off of fleming rd, like two miles from PTI. its probably timcos traffic. they get widebodys regularly. deltas first 12 or 14 triple 7's came through there to outfit the cabin and crew compartments for transatlantic and pacific flights and 747s for klm and shit. that stuff has been loud since i was a kid. they supposedly do that frozen chicken through engine stuff there along with some other loud ass engine tests. they do alot of this stuff third shift when the runways arent being used by commercial traffic.

i lived in one of the approaches for NAS Oceania in Virginia Beach...amazing how fast you get used to F-18's flying overhead...and I have some old photos laying around of the blue angels turning overhead during their air shows...used to sit up on top of the garage roof watching it all
of course, it's better than being on the bridge wing of a destroyer on guard during flight ops...fucking pilots dumping fuel can suck a dick 3/19/2008 4:30:11 AM |

haha, they aren't supposed to do it in front of the carrier
i don't know whether or not there are rules about other ships in the group...probably not.
in either case, nobody can see them dumping if they do it in the clouds, so you do the math. 3/19/2008 12:29:10 PM |
