but what does that have to do with just meeting a person? i mean, i would think that if a guy hit on a girl at work, versus her being dressed like a skank at a party it would be more meaningful, at least a little. lol

they don't have the upper hand looks-wise at that time - they also prolly don't have the time to get to know you during her shift without losing money - at a party is more annonymous as well - the random dude she made out with at a party is much less likely to come by her house the next day, vs. some stranger that starts coming by your work everyday, because she didn't immediatley rebuff the guy(hoping for a better tip)

this is where you're going wrong, it has nothing to do with what you think....she has to be in the right frame of mind, and work usually isn't it.

i mean i agree with the consensus in general, but ain't nothing wrong with checking in some cases for example if its a restaurant that you never have been to before and you don;t really plan o going back, sure, but if its a place that you frequent, then i would say bad move.

maybe the nuance you are looking for is this: you ay be drinking beers with your buddies, but she is delivering hot plates to 1 of 6-7 tables in a polo shirt and black shorts...she is not having fun, she is not lookng around for potential mates, she is earning her living while you are celebrating. if i was a cashier and a girl asked me out while in line i would turn it down out of principal - i would never date a patron of my job, nor a coworker...
