Yeah, final four is pretty tough. But it def hurts most brackets that Uconn went down like they did. Basically no heart when it counted.

Well I was looking at possible matchups when I filled out my bracket. I took San Diego as an afterthought though. And had UConn moving on to face Drake, and thought that UConn's athleticism and inside play with Thabeet would easily defeat Drake. So then they would most likely face UCLA in the Sweet 16. When I saw the West Region UConn was the only team that I thought could beat UCLA, b/c of their strong inside play, and steady guard play from Price and Dyson. Then I thought that they would face Duke in the Elite Eight, and the only way Duke would beat UConn is if they had a performance from 3 pt range similar to the one they had @ UNC. So UConn would be in the Final Four and face Texas. There, if the refs took on a "let them play" approach, I thought UConn could play Augustin better than most teams in the tournament and squeak by. Also if they had made it that far I think they would have played with a "us against the world" attitude since it would be in San Antonio and undoubtedly there would be plenty of Texas fans there. Then I had them losing to KU in the championship game, b/c well KU had better defense and shooters. After submitting my bracket I began to rethink whether the UConn over UCLA was a good choice or not. That's one time when I should have trusted me second guessing myself.

Price is by far the most important player on UConn... he was 2nd team All-American from a few publications and the complete glue to the team... It's not surprising they lost without him there...
