The link from GrumpyGOP is the better-formatted version, but the raw text is also here in the thread posted by DoeoJ:

see, I've gone back and thought about it...

Quote :
"They've ignore he tried to have 1,200 tickets for Campout taken away 30 minutes before Campout started -- and got exposed when the entire email chain to University Administration ended up in the hands of Technician, complete with Bobby claiming Zach Adams supported him when he didn't."

From reading the emails, its true that Mills wanted to reduce the amount of tickets...

Quote :
"I totally agree with you. Zach Adams and I warned the Committee about this decision and explained the necessity to only allow 2,500 students at camp out but they did not understand our reasoning. Hopefully everything works out.

Bobby Mills, 4:11pm"

But he doesn't explicitly say that he wanted to eliminate 1,200 tickets from the students. That was Stafford, correct?

Quote :
"Bobby, in case we don't talk before then, I'll see you tonight at the Chef's Challenge. I've talked with Dick Christy again and based on your response, I think the best outcome is to tell SG that 1500 tickets will be allocated through campout and the remainder (approx 1400) will be distributed through the normal system. This will continue the agreement that we have used in past years. See you tonight.

Stafford, 4:37pm"

Where's the part where he wanted to eliminate half of the tickets?

I didn't vote for him anyway with the bad press he's gotten that has already been mentioned in the thread, such as the tootsie rolls and other shenanigans, just want to see why you people are so adamant about him wanting to take away half of the campout tickets.

That part's not in the email, that was in his public statements after Stafford announced his decision (when Bobby told everyone from the people running Campout to the Technician staff that he supported Stafford's decision because he "had nothing to do with Campout")

It wasn't until his "nothing to do with Campout" argument got exposed via that email -- and Zach Adams found out his name was dropped in reference to it -- that Bobby tried an about-face

Not much more time... greg probably has plenty of votes, but Bobby Mills could always get more last place votes.

I'll take as many votes as I can get

BUT, if you're torn between voting for me as #1 and voting for Bobby Mills as #5... I'd really prefer you log in to vote Bobby Mills as #5

i thought the reason we paid $1,800 was so they could get a very accurate unofficial winner, then have the meetings to make it official...

the tech admins still have to map write-in votes to candidates, take out hte ones like Mickey Mouse, etc -- that's the part that takes awhile

the "unofficial" winner will be known as of 1-2am, and there's 99.9% certainty they'll be the "official" winner too

if it's written in as "jackleg" it'll get lumped in with the "Illegal/Fictitious Votes" -- but we should still be able to see how many votes he gets

Nice. It'll present a semi-accurate count of how much of an effect t-dub had.

It'll probably be another hour or so before results are out. 7,024 total votes (only the 2nd time in NCSU history we've broken 7,000 -- 1st time was with the Pirate Captain), they're about 1/2 done on mapping write-ins

I really dont understand why they do that write-in thing. If someone had wanted to run, they should have filed in time to be on the ballot. And if someone dropped out leaving a position uncontested, then so be it.

Write-ins take time and usually the people that advocate the use of them are the people who just want to snag places from those competition-free runners because they have some sort of hatred towards 'em.

just my view.

yeah you werent in school when i ran probably.

my whole point in running as a write in was because i wasn't allowed to be on the ballot because i had a disciplinary infraction on my record, and that excluded me

2002? GB16 i think we were pushing for

They're having issues getting the tabulation to actually come up -- the vote.ncsu.edu server is still processing the preferential ballots for all the races, and has been for about 20 minutes now
