Whether this is was put as a joke or not I've got to say yes to playing this. No one in the NCAA plays it, and the Canes rarely do (or at least they did when I was in Raleigh). Since a lot of State fans are also Canes fans, I think most people would be fine with it. State and the Hurricanes have a great relationship.

The brassy sound to that song is great and powerful. I think it would be a great rallying song during a timeout in the 4th quarter.

Fanfare For the Common Man would also be a pretty good piece. It has a regal sound to it and could really show off the power of the brass section. Isn't the band getting larger this year?

Black Dog was played every other game this year. Was a part of one of our shows.
Gimme Some Lovin' is played once every 3 games or so. 1st trombone part isn't bad.

Oh and Scrumples, about the Peter and the Wolf song. He said he thought about it before, but didn't like how it sounded. Said he MIGHT give it another shot. I tried.

Don't Stop by Fleetwood Mac. If you find the version from The Dance (their reunion concert album from the late 90's) they actually have the USC marching band accompany them on stage for the end of the song and fade-out, so there is a quality arrangement for it already in existence. "Tusk" also works for this since the USC band was in on that one too (both the original and the release).
