I've yet to figure out why the Sabres are #1 on the Hurricanes' rivalry list, both here and on FSN South. Is it just cause of the playoff series from two years ago?

City does suck with some exceptions. Area isn't so bad outside the terrible winters. Our fans are very devoted and there really isn't anything else to do besides drink up there. Plenty of white trash but no more than the rednecks I see at the Hurricanes games. Tickets are much more expensive up there so you don't see the same type of fans as you do with the 10-20 dollar cheap seats that the transplants buy here.

Wasn't it partly a proximity rivalry that started when the 'Canes were in Hartford?

LOL talking about not being able to finish? Not sure if you checked but we won nine straight coming into this game. Even if we lose our last game of the season that would be winning 9 out of our last 11 to make the playoffs (unlike buffalo, who is eliminated tonight with the rangers win)
