Why did you sell the carpc? I'm actually on the cusp of getting back into the game, with a 10.4" screen and all.

the carPC ended up being almost 50% of the cost of my car, and for what it was worth, the expense of replacing it if it got stolen, plus the money i got from it paid for my Wii & GPS, which the GPS feature is what i used the most in the car. all music/mp3 i could already do with my head unit. wireless internet & movies, i just use a laptop, cell phone, palm, or portable DVD player to do now..... i'm also on the cusp of buying a new car, most likely that will have a touchscreen in it... so it was time.

How much did you get out of your machine and what were its specs?

I'm probably gonna go with this
Intel D201GLY2A Desktop Board - SiS 662 - Socket 479 - 533MHz FSB - 1GB - DDR2 SDRAM - ATX - BOXD201GLY2A
http://tinyurl.com/6qa8yf

Whatever dc-dc supply that will be enough to power it

And the aforementioned screen that I picked up a long time ago to do a diy projector and never used.

i sold it for ~$570 i think. i still have the USB GPS receive i use with my laptop on occasion.
(actually i still have the USB GPS, hard drive, external USB sound card, and keyboard), sold the in-dash TS for ~$200 i think, ~$300 for barebones, and $70 for DC-DC PSU... but i didn't have the most high-end parts either

^i hope so!
