4 level intersections are up to +$50million. No one will ever approve a 4 level intersection the way people are so tight on money(and there are cheaper designs that get the job done.

I think that video is sped up a bit, there's no way someone didn't get clipped, plus look at the people walking like they're on crack. While I know traffic in asia is pretty damn bad compared to US traffic, roadkill to them also includes humans and doesn't cause much concern.

I always thought how inefficient 4-way intersections are, especially having to stop for a right turn when you could just use a free-flow interchange lane. 3-ways especially could use that on the intersecting road. I wonder how much gas is lost to inefficiency, not just horrible mpg's on vehicles.

On a road with heavy volumes, 4-way intersections with a 4 phase signal are pretty bad and take a while(Western and Avent Ferry), 4 way intersections with a 2-phase signal aren't bad at all. Free flowing rights are good but sometimes you don't have the room to do them and/or the money.
