Me!
Yeah, the sizing at ann taylor is ridiculous...I'm a 0 or 00 there.5/2/2008 7:35:11 PM |

Some people need that room because they have a huge belly, which yes- most would consider fat. Some people need that size because of height/length issues-- I personally know many people that have to occasionally buy up a size or so because of length (not necessarily true for jeans, those you have S, R, & L) Some people need that size because they have wide hip bones &/or an ass at all in today's jeans.
Honestly, it is incredibly difficult for me to find jeans that fit well. Most will fit OK length wise & just barely around my hip bones, but the waist is usually 3-4 inches (or more) too big (and yes, we're talking current low rise, not 80s super high waisted). But there is no denying I have hips & an ass to contend with... so there is a lot to keep in mind with girls sizes. It's not like you box shaped guys & your multi-number-size pants
Oh, and on a side note... guys, don't go trying on your girl's pants for comparison all the time. Almost everything now is stretch, and even if you think they fit you're usually stretching them out. When you do that it makes us sad and makes the pants far less form fitting (i.e. bad for your viewing pleasure)...

I agree. I can't walk into Banana Republic anymore and buy their clothes without getting a 00. Anne Taylor Loft fit me at a size 0 in high school (I can still fit those now) but I can't find new clothes small enough to fit me there anymore. It's a little ridiculous. I know America's getting fatter as a whole, but that's no reason to changes sizes to make them feel better about themselves.5/3/2008 10:53:54 PM |

women's sizes make them feel like they are more attractive.
Can you see a female saying I need a size 36 waist...besides that would be fucking huge for a female. 5/3/2008 11:15:02 PM |
