I've never heard of the Islam crescent theory.
I know there's been a ton of these smear emails going around in attempts to stir up the conservative bible thumpers, but I don't think the majority of that demographic would have been considering Obama for presidency to begin with.
I would be interested to know what is and isn't true from that passage. Things like:
Quote : | "ALSO, keep in mind that when he was sworn into office he DID NOT use the Holy Bible, but instead the Koran." |
Quote : | "Obama was enrolled in a Wahabi school in Jakarta. Wahabism is the RADICAL teaching that is followed by the Muslim terrorists who are now waging Jihad against the western world." |
The swearing in with the Koran thing isn't really bothersome to me (besides misrepresentation of himself), but the whole history of "Radical Teaching" is a little unsettling if it's true
I realize his religious orientation has nothing to do with this capability as a leader, but his website adamantly represents him as a Christian who never practiced Islam....if the bit about using the Koran to be sworn into office is true, then the whole Christianity front is obviously farse. I'm not hatin' on Barack; politicians are constantly playing whatever angles they can to stimulate the vote of different ethnic, demographic & religious groups.....The truth is he would've hurt is chances tremendously if he represented himself a practicing Muslim. The more I've read about it is seems that he definitely has a history of Islam, whether or not he still practices or not....The site below has another timeline of Barack and Islam, but once again, it may or may not be verifiable.

no you're not...you're not forced to vote
in 2004, there were roughly 275 million people in the US
roughly 120 million people voted
thats about 43%
about 57% of the country didnt vote

hahahaha seriously i'm probably going to vote for obama because whomever has contol of bush seems to have their hands on McCain too.
Basically I'm not positive he's going to suck and thats the best thing i can say out of the three. I am however pretty sure. 5/6/2008 2:32:29 PM |

Ok Hillary is going to make the country borderline socialist and I'm pretty sure McCain is still a puppet to whomever is driving bush...
Right now i really feel like obama wants to do something good... i don't think he has any clue what that is... but i feel like he has those intentions...
Basically i feel like its a multiple choice test and i know answer's a and b are wrong... (for me atleast) so why not go with c? 5/6/2008 2:36:45 PM |

i don't buy into all the hype of "change" and "fixing Washington" and being a "uniter", deep down it is clear, based on his record and associations, that he is a big government liberal who will suck the life out of this country by over taxiing, over regulating and just plain old tried and failed liberal ideology. 5/6/2008 2:37:45 PM |

people have seen McCain and Hillary before...they already know that they're big power hungry liars
Obama is new on the scene...he hasn't been around long enough for us to see all his problems and demons
But the fact that people are expecting him to somehow be the polar opposite of all other candidates ever is fucking baffling...HE IS A POLITICIAN RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT...WHY would you think anything else?] 5/6/2008 2:39:46 PM |

Nah I didn't say I believed any of it; I would just be interested to know if there was any factual premise to any of the claims. It most likely came straight from the ass of some back country hick, and I realize that, but if any of is true I'd be interested to know
