while i love watching premier league soccer, i have no way of being affiliated with any team so i just watch and respect their level of play. id have to go over to europe and check things out before blindly picking a squad.

AC Milan forever!

my best experience with soccer was attending the 2006 World Cup.

^yes...my fathers side of the family is Italian. And no, this is NOT an alias...its just a back up username for my suspended username.

I grew up on Italian football.

no one, besides evan, likes chelski cause in abramovich's first 2 years after taking the club over, they spent this much money to buy players:

300 million pounds (US$549.3 million)

I saw Chelsea play live as well... at West Ham... West Ham beat them 1-0, a fascist scored one of the goals and people rioted. It was awesome... therefore I like the Hammers.

Yeah, DiCanio... it was awesome.. It actually gave West Ham hope to stay up but they ended up drawing the week after and were relegated..

Gatuso was the bomb in the world cup as far as hard tackles is concerned. In my opinion, he's a great tackler but not so great on the ball

well they DID win the champions league last year. scandals or no scandals.

I don't understand how Chelsea fans are more bandwagon than ManYoo... considering most college aged fans started watching/following soccer around the time manyoo was winning CL in 99 and had Beckham and all Giggs/Scholes in their prime, etc. Both teams spend a lot of money, win a lot of games, have huge fanbases... I'm not calling fans on here of either team bandwagon, just saying in general, if you call a Chelsea fan a bandwagon fan, you'd probably have to call a United fan one too.

I agree with that, they've turned my favorite player into a benchwarming laughingstock.

This game should be fun:

Tevez, Rooney, Ronaldo, Giggs vs. Ballack, Drogba, Essien

WORD. Personally, I want Chelsea to win, but mostly because most my friends are ManU fans.

It's on ESPN360 if you're one of the lucky 7 Americans that get that (that aren't on a college campus)... I really hope they do a "free trial" during Euro 2008...

[Edited on May 21, 2008 at 1:23 PM. Reason : like they did for the world cup]
