I've been around 130-140ish in a C5 Z06, an 03 Cobra, and a 94 Rx-7. Fastest I've ever gotten my 7 up to is not much more than 120, and I think the gearing is only good to 160 (although it should have enough power for at least 180). I don't get a big kick out of top speed runs though.

Story... we changed the wastegate spring cause the turbo dared us to... broke the stock pump... mechanic found out that the fairway mower pump (we kept spares cause couldn't afford to have a fairway mower down) fit but was over 2x the capacity... we gave it a shot and until the replacement stock pump came in had a lot of fun.

My friend sold his Cayman S last week.

On his last day with the car, he did 165 mph on a highway. When he was going 137 mph, he got a ticket, but the ticket only said 87 mph.

BTW, the Cayman S tops out at 171 mph, and he said beyond 165 mph, it was almost impossible to increase the speed.

-135 in the GS-R on I-485 at 3am (speedo-indicated, not GPS). She still had more, but I chickened out. Top speed is listed at 137, but I'm not sure if thats drag or redline.
-almost 120 in the GS-R at Roebling Rd on the front straight.

within the past month about 110 going to HHI in the GS-R, as well as 110 just bombing around Charlotte in an S2K.

Ive hit 174 in my trans am.. fuel cut was eliminated with ls1edit. more power it woulda gone faster for sure. i was afraid to hit the nitrous at that speed

117 was the limiter in the 240sx, but wiht a auto ecu ive had it up to 130 (all stock motor). im not sure how much more it had in it

both on gps.. ta speedo ends at 160 and 240 speedo goes to 110
