it bothers me and I've never watched MMA before in my life. it puts MMA in a negative light, i can understand protecting the fighters, but the guy still had 4 minutes left in his alotted time to recover from an accident. bring the doc in at 1 minute to go, and make the determination at that point.

that fight was MMA's chance to shine in the national spotlight (especially since it was going to break in to local news time slot) and it failed to deliver.

I will say though, that Kimbo will lose his next fight if he faces anyone with even a mediocre ground game. If James Thompson can control him on the ground like that he would get absolutely tooled by any good BJJ fighter or wrestler.
