"how does polo double black compare to polo black? is there much of a difference?"

Quote :
"The exclusive Guerlain fragrance Nuit d’Amour turned out to be a fairly predictable floral oriental, but nothing could have prepared me for the new Ralph Lauren masculine, a sensual and unconventional offering. In part, this is due to the fact that I began my exploration of the Ralph Lauren line only recently, discovering the legendary Polo and Lauren as well as the gardenia petal softness of Ralph Lauren Blue. The masculine fragrances from the line have always struck me as quintessentially American, portraying the clean shaven and casually clad ideal frequently appearing in Lauren’s menswear ads. Polo Double Black likewise maintains the same laidback aura, yet its seductive oriental twist lends the fragrance a certain unexpected allure. …

The top notes of Double Black are marked with a spicy freshness which, like a cool breeze, lightens the rich woods that form the backbone of the composition. The luscious sweetness of mango becomes pronounced with time, underscored with a resinous peppery note. This forms a beautiful prelude to the opulence of cardamom, nutmeg and dark roasted coffee which suggests an abstract gourmand dessert without ever making the allusion obvious.

The rich woodsy base layered over the subtle warmth of musk is perhaps my favourite aspect of this seamlessly constructed composition. It possesses a wonderful softness, alternatively evoking dark velvet and weightless cashmere. Although Polo Double Black is certainly virile, it is such a handsome and sensual fragrance that I am prepared to disregard the gender boundaries. Of course, smelling it on a man would be a treat. It is not a loud and overwhelming fragrance, but one that makes you want to lean in and inhale deeply. I foresee wearing it on the many cold days yet to come, cuddling under a blanket with a favourite book and a steaming cup of tea.

Double Black features notes of mango, coffee, nutmeg, vetiver, cardamom. It is available from Macy’s, Sephora and other retailers."

^Dude, gtfo with that shit.

There is a guy on somethingawful that provides this service for the forum users. It's great service and he runs all kinds of specials. 3 10mL decants get one 2.5 free, 30+ dollar orders = 1.00 priority shipping. Etc. If anyone wants me to point them there, you could totally help me out by getting 15% off my next order as a referral

Unfortunately I cannot post his list because it's specifically requested not to, but if you PM me I can try to help you out as much as I can.

Good question! Creed is $Texas!!!

I have a couple of the girl scents, but I've never smelled a guy wearing Creed because they usually won't pay that much for it haha.

it's definitely the most expensive decant. I suppose if worst comes to worst, I can place a rather large order, though in doing so it would probably either cost me money in paypal fees and shipping or drive up the cost a few bucks.

Maybe with all the discounts he does it could work out for a larger order. I'll keep you guys posted.

ok, his main concern is being overwhelmed with orders. Like the list getting spread around and many random people emailing, IMing and what not. Honestly, he doesn't make much money if any from this, and mainly puts everything back into purchasing more fragrances.

I can probably do 5 orders total this first time and I have 3 PMs so far interested.

I'm gonna take hits all around if I do this because of the premier paypal fees for each person that pays me and then shipping them to you guys because i'm in greenville now.

It won't be anything crazy i'm sure, but it's not gonna make my original order bitter. So, send me a PM with what you're looking at getting and I can probably share the list privately, but you will ruin this if it's spread around etc etc.

I'll crunch numbers after I get like 4 people's orders.

aight i want to place this order by tomorrow. if you don't have an SA account and want to get in on a couple decants of this stuff, PM me and i'll give you the run down.

If you do have an SA account, i'll save you the time searching SAMart and you can throw me a referral

have 3 other people right now, and as long as it doesn't get to the point where i have to mail out 20 different padded envelopes (greenville is the suck) I'll throw some more people into this group buy.

let's get a few more for this

PM me if you want to see the list.

$3-4 2.5mL
$5-7 5mL
$9-12 10mL

Great way to have some travel sizes of your scent and/or try some new ones at very affordable prices. What I have so far isn't much more than my original order, so if I pick up a couple more he might throw in some surprises.

cool water just reminds me of 6th grade when kids would bring big ass bottles of nautica, tommy, CW, and whatever else they had just bought or stolen from an older brother and proceed to bathe in said fragrances.

o_o;

I mean- any cologne is terrible if you pour it all over you. If you just spray it lightly then it's a winner.
