This is the second time in 8 months in two different locations. First time on campus, then here. There has been a rash of break-ins in the area. We have a security company that does continuous patrols 6 nights a week for 5 hours each night.
I live in the same place, because I OWN my condo and can't responsibly move.
I still put nice things in my car, because I like nice things.

I doubt he was targeted for posting about his stuff here or on any other message boards. This sounds like a normal smash and grab that could happen to anyone. His car does look like a magnet for these types of things with the aftermarket work, but hopefully a good alarm and maybe keeping the faceplate out of sight will help.
