I think it's the act of a guy who knows he isn't coming back to Carolina. The rumor is that Denver has said they will take him at #20 in the draft if he's still in it.

yeah but Quentin Thomas is graduating and they will only have Bobby Frasor coming back from a torn ACL and a freshman if Lawson stays in the draft. Javi did have 9 assists in the second UNC game.

They have recruits coming in that will keep Frasor from seeing the court. You of all people should know that.

^^^ eh, I don't think Larry Drew will be as good as Lawson, especially as a freshman. if Lawson leaves then I wouldn't be surprised to see Frasor start out as the starter and perhaps see Drew take over mid-way through the year. if Lawson leaves there will be a big drop off for UNC at point next year.

Denver has since canceled Lawson's individual work out with the team. Seems like they're no longer interested.

between 'melo and ai, any additional baggage is too much for that team.

This list of stupid quotes in that article is amazing.

“It went good,”

“I felt like [the police] said that my music was too loud on Franklin Street which was like a mile, two miles, three miles from where they stopped me at.”

“I also blew a .03, so I was being responsible.”

“I wasn’t driving around drunk. I was just underage,” Lawson told reporters following his workout.

Nothing like another UNC player crying about something else.

Selfish bastard, what about the people that he could have injured as a result of driving while impaired? I know that he wasn't that drunk, but if you are going to talk about people being hurt from a DWI, most people include the potential victims of DWIs.

While i wish nothing but the worst for him, 0.04 is like half a beer.

any of us who blew that as an underage kid would have had no worse repercussions.

The consequences were normal for his crime, as he was guilty of a legal technicality but not legally intoxicated. I find it curious that he gets the headlines of "driving after underage drinking" when one of our players (was it TA?) did the same thing a few years ago and the headlines were about "drunk driving".
