it probably wasnt even kobe beef...or if it was, it was otherwise unusuable scrap. The 'kobe' name is just to get away charging 50%+ more for the same burger, at the same cost to the restaurant

I had some kobe at a steakhouse in Chicago one time...it was good, but I've had some damn good prime beef from "regular" cows before...overrated imo but in fairness I've only had it once (though I have eaten a lot of steaks in my day)

had Kobe beef fillet while at a steakhouse down in Orlando a few weeks ago.

Best steak I had in a long long time. (medium rare/medium)

i was at a brewery type restaurant a couple weeks ago in denver and they had an "american kobe" burger....and it was just that...a regular burger that they upsell based on what they call it to make a few extra bucks...it's the only burger they sold. i bullshitted with the server for a while and he confirmed this.
