healthy old people actually cost a lot less to die. Sure, they're get all sorts of problems in the later years, but those who lived a healthy life will walking around and doing all kinds of things right up until just a few months before they just die in their sleep.

America has seriously made dying WAY harder than it has to be.

Not trying to be an elitist, I grew up eating homemade cake 90% of the time. If something tastes bad it tastes bad.

and that is probably how people maintain a healthy weight. they are at least SLIGHTLY picky about what they are eating.

yes, by all means khcadwal lacks the knowledge that being picky does not help in maintaining a healthy weight.

uh, did this make any sense?

dudes i didn't mean that if you are picky then you inevitably maintain a healthy weight jesus. you "lack knowledge" if you would take that from what i said. i was responding in reference to the cake convo. i simply mean that discretion in food choice is something that can play into someone's weight. ie: if someone is overindulgent and sees cake to them cake may be cake may be cake may be cake. food is food is food. they eat it regardless because i think for a lot of obese people (not merely overweight people) it is more about the ACT of eating than WHAT you are eating. if someone says "oh i don't like that kind of cake" they abstain instead of being like "oh well its cake. must eat."

by all means i "lack knowledge" in that i'm not a fucking nutritionist. but its not like i walked all up in here being like "i know everything about eating. rawr rawr rawr". but anyway hopefully that clarifies my cake position. tww is after all very, very serious business.

the more you explained it the worse your argument became

wether someone like twinkies or makes their own twinkies is no indication of their discipline and subequent health

i bet reggie bush loves twinkies and emeril agasse only eats the finest cakes in the world

The fact that being picky away from fattening food makes someone less fat should probably be a duh.

I was being sarcastic.

I think the problem occurs when women reach into their 30's plus. They have get married and have a kid; or just b.c they are a working woman sitting in the office. Either way they use this as an excuse as to not having time/energy to exercise; meanwhile consuming vast amounts of calories. I have lost count of the number of moms i have seen that were obese when i go out. Just but wonder do I about how their husbands kept it "up" long enough to fuck these behemoths or if they just gained all the weight during and post pregnancy.

Yesterday at neomonde there was a morbidly obese woman there with her fat son. I couldn't help but want to throw up part of my lunch in my mouth.

eh when i see a fat woman i usually see a fat man with her. its not like an obese woman is walking around with a brad pitt look a like husband. the whole family is usually overweight. but more women than men are overweight (not by a large % though) and i read that unmarried people of either sex are the least likely to be overweight so yea...lifestyle does have a lot to do with it. but it isn't just women. i think that its probably consistent within families. overweight mom, overweight dad, overweight kids.

^^Yes, I have seen way too many "sea cow" moms recently...yuck!

But it's not just women. One obese middle-aged guy that I used to work with was a type 2 diabetic and he loved to make all of his health problems known to everyone. Then one day he said, "but all of my health problems would go away if I just lost weight."

My response: "So why don't you just lose weight?"

^ Haha, I worked with an attention whore of a boss who did a similar thing. Then he got a blood glucose meter (he didn't have one but claimed the doctor diagnosed him as a Type II diabetic) and tested his blood sugar in front of us and it was 89. He did it at a different time and it was 87. Some time after that it was around 100 I think. Just some pile of bullshit to draw attention away from the fact that he's fat and didn't want to take care of himself.

My biggest complaint about people who are overweight generally revolves around their unwillingness to do anything about it or to change their ways. I realize I'm young and when I get health problems it makes sense (and is easier) for me to go and deal with them before they get serious. I also realize that it's not that damn hard to go and find 20 minutes each day to go waddle around your neighborhood to get enough exercise to burn a few calories.

I know a married couple in their mid-30's with 2 children. Both parents way fat and they both claim that they have an unusual condition that causes their bodies to hold onto water making them big. I asked them, "Wow, how is it that you BOTH have this strange affliction? Amazing." They agreed it was amazing...

...and then they gave their 3 month olds some more Kool Aid.

I just had another idea, and it's so simple, it's scary!

Mandatory liposuction for fatties.

Take the harvested fat, and use it to fuel our vehicles.

We may be running low on oil, but we have more than enough fat people. This will also cause the middle east economies to collapse, and the turrists will have bigger fish to fry than crashing planes into buildings.

I should get a fucking nobel prize.

speaking of which it was utterly disgusting seeing a mom at the beach in a bikini with her fat rolls stilling over her bottoms.

it's sweet though too because you can troll people IRL by just talking about rich foods. I thought my brother and his wife were going to need the fainting couch when diner conversation turned to crumbling parmesan cheese onto baked chicken
