If you enjoyed the Star Wars Christmas Special, you won't want to miss this!
I've read fan-fiction that was better written than this garbage. Obi-wan can't seem to say anything other than a one-liner in a sarcastic tone. For some reason, Storm Troopers are all Australian. The visuals were garbage. Dreamworks has had better animation. There were Twi-lek with choreographed dances ripped STRAIGHT out of Star Wars Galaxies. A few recycled camera shots from episode 2 and 3.
George Lucas should be ashamed to have his name in the credits. 8/17/2008 4:06:45 AM |

It's basically a 2 hour long saturday-morning cartoon. 8/17/2008 11:55:12 PM |

This, but it is pretty stupid to assume that the accent would carry over to the clones. An accent is something you pick up from your environment, so all the clones should probably have that giraffe people accent.

yeah, just like I'm ashamed to have my name on my paycheck
anyhow... i'm taking my 3-year-old to go see this today.
i figure i'll probably hate on it less if i see it at a matinee full of children.8/18/2008 2:11:48 PM |

I enjoyed it.
a little upset at the ending and how it could of been better/darker, but I was informed that it was the intro into a television series and it would not do to kill off major characters in the movies
(... my ending would of had anakin's padawan killed by Count Dooku, adding to anakin's push to the dark side)
p.s. I saw the same showing as Sonia and FroshKiller, but was too chickenshit to say whats up

Saw this yesterday at a matinee full of kids. It was actually so much fun seeing how into it they got. I was personally kind of ambivalent about the story, but the art was better than I was expecting. The AT-TE wall-scaling scene was my favorite, and the "So, uh... you want me to tell him they escaped, or what?" line was hilarious. I'll definitely check out the TV series... at least on DVR. 8/18/2008 3:15:30 PM |

there was some good lines, and amusing bits, the battles were generally rendered pretty cool...
but the dialog was just ludicrous. that and the whole plot arc with Jabba the Hutt, his son Stinky the Hutt, and his uncle Truman Capote the Hutt... man that was just some stupid shit.
if i didnt have a 3 year old to entertain on a rainy day ... i'd say probably just skip it. or wait til its on the $9.99 rack at the grocery store. 8/18/2008 11:38:31 PM |
