My friend Ryan is struggling with credit card bills and law school (UPitt).
My friend Johnny is an alcoholic and bad with money and is trying to get into UMCP.
My brother Vince is struggling with himself and trying to go back to school.
My brother Bryan is trying to get into school. He's a senior in high school.
My sister Diana is trying to get to know her father again and eats her feelings.
My dad is unemployed and has been for nearly four months now and is becoming a borderline alcoholic.
My mom is 46 and still works at Arby's. She can't make ends meet and is possibly bipolar.
My uncle can't stop drinking Bacardi and Diet Coke nor can he stop smoking weed.
My other uncle is addicted to pain pills.

And I'm kind of an attention whore.

First I want to take a moment to praise Him for the wonderful things he's done for me. Having just returned from Israel, I was in Jerusalem the day before the terror attack, in the exact spot that it took place. Had I stayed one more day, I'd be hurt or worse. Praise God for his will, that I was able to return to my family.

Speaking of staying alive, though, my prayer request has to do with two tumors in my head that are scheduled to be biopsied in the next two weeks. Very small chance, but nonetheless a risk, that they're cancerous, and that's not a good thing at all. The first time around, 2 years ago, one was non-cancerous. This time I might not be so lucky, but either way, pray that God watches over my loved ones, so they don't worry about me regardless of what happens.

Pray for my mental health as well. Before I went to Israel I was in the hospital for trying to off myself once again. Quite a relapse after doing well for so many years, but alot of extrinsic shit is going on that I'm having trouble sort of muscling through.

Also, many of my friends are about to take the Bar. Pray for them.

There is supposedly a curse stemming from both sides of my family. My mom's side is cursed by extremist Catholics when my grandfather left Pittsburgh and my dad's side is cursed by some Italian gypsy and/or Irish wench.

My great grandpa has pneumonia in both lungs, and the antibiotics don't seem to be helping any. He's either 93 or 94, and my grandma says that it doesn't look good at all. My family and I are all going down tomorrow to see him. I guess this could possibly be the last time I see him.

Last time I checked I was still alive. somedays being alive really is the sucks. but you gotta keep on truckin. prayer helps, but so does action. Prayer is best when you realize that you cannot do anything about a situation at all. There will be many situations like this in your life, they are often the hardest ones. you will be helpless and there is nothing you can do about it. accept that. But then again there are not athiests in foxholes.

its okay to meditate on a problem... if you want to call that prayer then by all means, do it
