The EUPHALO posts are all the ones that reference miley cyrus or that have that same stupid series of crap posted over and over again (it's pretty easy to tell which threads are EUPHALO threads by the content).

that's all fine and dandy, but another thing to "fix" TWW is to also fix the shit that got broken during the "database maintenance/upgrade" deal. Get the functionality of the site back to full working state is gonna help too.

Heh, thanks for the positive commentary. I'm reading it now and it looks like I was somewhat drunk when I wrote that, but I was really just tired as hell. MAYBE I'll post an edited version of that one day in its own separate "reference" thread in the feedback forum somewhere or maybe in chit chat. It's not perfect, and I could detail more of what's killing this site too, but I figure that should go in a related topic.

I absolutely agree. I was trying to hedge around the issue a bit with:

We do still need to fix the stuff that the professors at NCSU think is what still makes this site great (namely, school tool and that book swapping tool that I was told about in ENG101 and E101). If we do that, people who come here won't be disappointed and go "oh what the fuck, I totally would've used that" and go post on facebook.

I'm also guessing that RD comment was directed at me. That's all fine and dandy, haha, it was bound to prick somebody's skin from that group as I basically said they were cancer. I mean, he's wrong, and it's a sad reflection of how seriously some people treat this site (and how famous they are on a board of fairly anonymous users ), but I welcome criticism about the accuracy of what I said.
