the way you people get bent out of shape over matters of opinion is wonderful

[Edited on June 28, 2008 at 5:51 PM. Reason : i like the chicken gravy at wilber's, but the bbq has gone to shit]

[Edited on June 28, 2008 at 5:51 PM. Reason : king's is laughable]

next time you're cruising through goldsboro on a saturday take a detour and don't waste your time at wilber's

http://local.triangle411.com/Stonewall--27s+Restaurant+--26+Grill.262135.97456884.home.html

bbq is only on saturday and they're only open for lunch

[Edited on June 28, 2008 at 6:00 PM. Reason : or just cook your own damn pig...that's always my favorite]

I've never been to Cooper's or Wilber's; bearing that in mind, Ole Time is my favorite. Dixie Belle's in Apex is pretty good too.

Corn sticks are Jesus in food form, and Parker's has the best

Their brunswick stew is also ultra hype but the BBQ is just okay

However I will say that I went to a Sticky Fingers in Charleston and their chicken wings are the best I've ever had anywhere

i've been there...it's nice

but somehow it just feels odd to me to eat that sort of food in such a setting

and on something other than styrofoam

^^^ Yeah. I was at the Times last week and had a few drinks with the GM of the Pit and told him that the sauce seems quite a bit sweeter than Mitchell's sauce in Wilson. He said it was exactly the same, but perhaps it was the environment that was coloring my perception.

*shrug*
