I'll be anchored under the Cape Lookout Lighthouse in the hook knocking back cold beer.

T-minus 48 hours and counting...

I don't head out to the AB side much...the ole skiff doesn't like the swells much getting there

we stay on Harker's, so its a quick trip to the Cape

of course, we will probably take the "Cocktail Cruise" up Taylor's Creek along the Beaufort waterfront.

it's like 5 minutes from Harkers via water... well maybe like 15 on a smaller boat not a bad trip though, just come through by beaufort (we always catch pogies right there between the harkers island bridge and calico jacks)

haha it's fun to go by beaufort on a cocktail cruise

if you are riding the south side of the island, you go right in front of the house...

We are between the Fishing Center and Barbour's Harbor about 100 yds west of the East'ard.

I need to check the weather, everything has been looking pretty good thus far

I would love to go fishing, but we probably won't because my Aunt & Uncle and their two kids are going and we have to share the boat...

We have the most luck for spanish and blue between the rock jetty and the 1st ocean buoy at the Lookout Inlet...but I haven't been in a few years.

I'll probably be at the house on the Sound side west of the bridge, it's in that beach house development just past the shopping center with the movie theatre.

^^^^ ha, out where I grew up.

hmmm...looks like Blackcomb Mountain, while open for skiing, is only open from 12-3pm. I'm not driving that far and spending $55 for 3 hours of spring-conditions skiing.

If I can find anyone to go, prob do some SCUBA diving...hopefully in Victoria, BC (yeah, yeah, Canada for 4th of July, I know.)

going to a cookout at my friend's place tomorrow night. maybe go shooting at the range tomorrow morning/early afternoon.

sleep late, hit it hard in the gym.

you don't have to be rich to own a lake house. you just have to be smart and get in early. plus you can always add on. it's more important to have a nice dry dock/boat house with a place for everything and everything in it's place.
