i dont care if the cat is ugly, i care that it doesn't have whiskers, a nose, a leg, etc...all important parts of a cat's anatomy. seems like you're the one hung up on aesthetics here.

first time that link has crossed my desk. after checking out the site i have this to say:

were it my cat, i would have put it to sleep at 6 weeks when it was injured originally. i'm glad there are people willing to go that extra mile, but in my case, had that been my cat, fixing that cat would have been pissing my money away. i don't regret my couch, i'm not in debt because of it, and like i have said before, i chose my cats over my couch ultimately. as far as my awareness of animals happiness is concerned : ask anyone here that has visited my place how happy my cats are, and how well i treat them.
