i hate that they don't have fountain drinks. sometimes when I meet customers there in the afternoon, the last thing I want is coffee. I always have to settle for that shitty peach iced tea or whatever

It would behoove you to find a good, independent coffee shop in GSO (on par with global village), and suggest clients meet you there.

You have a say in where yall meet, they're exposed to incredible awesomeness, you aren't going to starbucks, and the little guy gets some new business.

I would be willing to bet that at least a few of the customers you're meeting at $bux are mentioning it simply because everyone knows starbucks. Not everyone knows where the little guy is, or notices them.

"Hey, let's get up for coffee!'
"Sure. When?"
"Uhm, tuesday? Meet me at the cameron village starbucks?"
"Oh, no! Global Village"
"Where's that?"
"Across from campus"
"You mean that hippy place? Sure - sounds good"

And then they're hooked, and mike has a new customer

It helps a lot if you can find a shop that's in the same area as a starbucks, since location is another reason people seem to name starbucks as a meeting place.

Well I am not a big coffee drinker anyway, so i don't know a lot about the local coffee scene. Plus, I am usually meeting with custmers in surrounding areas outside of Greensboro, and it is always easy to find a Starbucks. Shit, my GPS takes me right to them.

They're not the first coffee shop to use Italian size words for their sizes and they won't be the last. I hope you're not an asshole about it to the cashier and/or barista because they certainly didn't decide the size names.

Frappuchinos are TERRIBLE for you but one way to make them not so bad is to leave the whipped cream off. That automatically cuts at least 100 calories if I remember correctly. You can also throw in a shot of espresso, which means less of the mix, which also will cut some calories and make it taste better (unless you're one of those people who order Fraps because you hate coffee )

Yeah, the white mochas are one of the worst things on the menu. And their white chocolate sauce is shit anyway. Caribou Coffee has a much better white mocha and it has less calories.

They don't do fountain drinks because the machines are a bitch to keep clean and they take up too much space. That's why they have all of those bottled non-coffee drinks instead.

just because you're drinking it doesn't mean it isn't dessert

Global Village has Italian sodas that I'm sure you would enjoy very much
take your customers there

If you're going to starbucks fairly often I'd say 80% probability you're in the overweight-obese range.
