what really bummed me out was that there were so many stories and plot lines that i wanted solved and played out. I wish they could take this mini and turn it into a fictional series but we know that aint gonna happen.

i was just about to say that i should go back and rewatch this series. Then i saw my last post, right above yours, and now i'm not sure if i really want to.

For me, as a former marine, this series isn't really about the plot/story lines. It's mostly about the dialogue between the marines. That shit is hilarious. It's like the highlight reel of the funniest shit from the 5 years I was in, but with better writing. The shit talk about the sensationally? incompetent officers is just the gravy. The plot? Not so important. The commentary about the horrors/realities of war is useful for those unfamiliar with it.
