There's some rain moving in here right now from Pender and Brunswick Counties. We need rain so bad, I'll put up with a little wind to get it, but right now it's very still. top winds are 30 mph, so that won't hurt anything.

some people seem to think this thread was serious... i know the power isn't going out and i know that you don't have to microwave soup just to eat it

we had at least one big gust of wind this morning - blew over our iron table and umbrella on our deck... oh, and it rained like crazy for a while.

Sweet, all the sorry ass drivers will be home scared and I can ride my bike without them trying to run into me.

That's the only reason I like riding in the rain. Most people stay home.

looks like it's gonna rain here in Greensboro, which has delayed my laying in the kiddie pool in the back yard until tomorrow.

No one ever deserves to be run over. If you want the right of way get your fat ass on a bicycle.

Oh yeah, my bike is a motorcycle and if I see you I'll kick off your mirror as I pass.

My tips: fill your bathtub with water and close the drain AND clog it with a rag to keep the little seepage at a minimum. get/find/buy a five gallon bucket and fill it with water.

use it and the water in the tub to flush your toilets (if you're on city water and theres no problem with that, forget most of this) pour the water DIRECTLY into the bowl, if it's not clogged, it should flush with relatively little water. fuck that filling the reservoir tank up
you'll understand when your toilet turns into a black nightmare

also fill a CLEAN cooler with ice and tapwater

get an adapter that lets you plug things into your car's lighter slot if there isn't one already part of your car. use this to recharge your flashlights.

ALso get a hadfull of those keychain LED lights they sell at gas stations. those things are wonderful

dont rely on scented candles, you'll be shooting black snotrockets for a week. get some dirt cheep lard candles at a hardware store

(I take it from your posts that most of you are baller as fuck so i imagine you've got mexicans for most of the stuff. they burn brightly but can't light up a garage for more than say ten minutes
