was on the bus this afternoon and tried to talk to me as usual...first he says "rainy one day and sunny the next", i say "yeah"...then 3 minutes later its "where did you say you were from again"...i saw "30 minutes WEST(false) of gboro"...both times i just kinda brus him off...5 minutes later..."so you say you like metallica?"....my response "honestly i dont mean to be rude but i really dont feel like talking right now"

so this morning i go up, and hes out there waiting....i'm like oh god


i was running behind and i was like oh man i'm so glad i didnt miss the bus, i thought for sure i did(figure i'll break the ice so he doesnt go psycho)...hes like nah...about 30 seconds later, "so why were you mad at me yesterday"(ugh)..."i wasnt mad, i just didnt feel like talking to anyone" and hes like "ohh"...then he says something about the weather again and it being connected with the hurricane in the gulf...i just said like "idk, i guess, i dont really know anything about it"...bus came quick(like i said i was running late), and i was thinking to myself, "def let him get on first again"...its like he knew thats what i wanted cause he looked at me as if to say go ahead and i just stood there and was like nah man go ahead


well i get on the bus and he cant find his bus pass and i got my student ID...so i go and sit(made sure to sit where he couldnt sit near me)...he finally gets his pass and looks around for me and realizes he cant sit near me so he just sat down...he looked at me once(i was BEHIND him, he physically like turned around and looked)...i was like god just let me get off this fucking thing...thank god he wasnt on the 4:15 bus...if he would have been i woulda freaked the hell out

this morning

walk up...give him a head nod so he doesnt think i'm ignoring him and goes psycho...about 5 seconds later, "hey you got a dollar i can borrow"..."nope, i only have my card"(total lie)...then about a minute later he asks if i work this weekend i say no and hes like i have to because some guy called out sick or something

He's just lonely-- there are a lot of lonely/sad people that ride the CAT buses. It's definitely creepy, but I doubt there is much you can do about it. If you really don't want to talk to him, start bringing a book or paper to read-- eventually he'll find a new 'friend.' There was an older not-well-off dude that was always on my bus when I rode... and if they have someone to talk to it kinda makes their day. That's why he's noticing if you're there or not. Unfortunately, that's the downside to taking the CAT buses... but my dude finally stopped trying after I started bringing books everyday. I'd read at the stop, in the bus, etc. Never really said more than hi for just over a week and he got the idea.

so i walk up today after having not seen him since thurs, i see him at 4:15 bus

i'm like sup buddy...cause of course he was pretty much staring and i just cant pull off the oblivious i dont see you looking at me look

hes like hey...bus door opens up and i try to get him on first but he is like a wall so i'm like ok...i try to pin myself somewhere he cant talk to me...i fail..first 30 seconds "hot today"...i'm like thinking "aw man "

i say how i havent thought about it cause i dont listen to it much...i basically make it perfectly clear i dont regularly listen to it now...then he asks what i like, i say rap...i make it clear, that rap is ALL i listen to...i figure this will shut him up...bout 30 secs later he wants to know what rap group so of course i say three 6 mafia...then he mentions 50 cent and i'm like hes ok...i said i think hes a bit overrated...he nods...i say do you like 50 cent and he goes i dont know any songs by him...he asked me about what building i worked and was like "progress energy?" and i'm like nah but near it(sure as fuck wasnt telling him what building)...something else thats creepy that i never thought of...i made a chavanistic comment once and he was like "huh"...like some hot chick walking with 2 dogs went down avent ferry as we were sitting and i say like "damn that bitch is hot"...hes like "what"...i was like uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

i realized i cant do the headphone thing cause he will want to listen(even if i dont have an mp3 player i was thinking i could fake it)

we talked some today...thank god not about music...i got out at 8:01 since the bus is supposed to come 8:05-8:10 or so...well i must have just missed it so i knew i'd see him...he comes up at about 8:20...he tells me he liked my shoes(second time hes said that and i wear them the majority of the time)...i forgot something in my apt so had to run back and run back out carrying a notebook...hes like "forgot something for work"? i'm like uh dur(but i say "yeah")...when i get on the bus i immediately sit in like the first seat, put my bookbag in the seat next to me, and had one seat open between me and another person...if he woulda tried to sit down in between me and other person i woulda went crazy and literally moved, but thank god he didnt

I would agree.

Just looking at the pics you posted - notice how his shoulders are slumped and he walks facing the ground. Definite self-esteem problems and based on what you've said he doesn't really understand social cues.

Having said this I kinda need to think about it but I am not sure what to really suggest. There are ways that you can get out of this but it is best not to come off as a complete douche and really upset him or some shit.

so i spot him out there waiting for the 4:15...i'm like jesus

sit far away so he doesnt see me til i stand up cause the bus was there

immediately starts eyeing me and gets like right behind me in line to get on the bus

i get on the bus and sit in the first row of seats where there are 2 seats on each side of the isle, facing the front...he sits like 4 rows behind me...some guy in front of me sitting in the seats parrellel to the side of the bus keeps talking to the bus driver and then stalker moves up to sit like diaganal to my left in front of me...the bus driver and dude keep talking; start talking about how they are loners and dont care about "loving" people etc etc etc...stalker guy tries to butt in the convo like 3 times...one of the times hes like "a lot of people say they hate me"....i lol on the inside...dude taht was talking to the bus driver is like "i dont even care, dont bother me"...bout 5 minutes later stalker guys like "so it doesnt bother you when people hate you" and dude is like "yeah dont bother me at all...i hate when people talk to me on the bus and ask me the same questions" etc etc etc...again i lol...the entire time i had a stone cold stare out the front of that damn bus window...only thing i said the entire time was when some woman was wondering if the bus passed the amtrak station, and i turned around and i was like yeah, when we hit lenoir street the announcement comes on and says "lenoir street, amtrak station"...this guy is seriously fucking lame...most uncomfortable time of any of my days is when he is on the bus

Well, at this point is sounds like he will not take the hint. It does not sound like he is gay. Seems like a lost puppy kinda guy and will follow you home if you let him. I might cut him a brake and just start asking him if he is going to work and where he works at. If he went to State, ( sorta doubt it ) That way you will find out why he is out there riding the bus all the time, and maybe if you find out some things about him he won't come across so scary.

K. Why doesn't he drive? Did he lose his ride? Gas to high? Lost his license? Does he still live at home with his mom? I knew a guy who was in his 30s and live with his mom. This guy did not have a car or a driver's license. Long story short, his mother was very controlling and mentally abused him. He had no self-esteem. I think she even made him give her his paycheck. It was sad.
