With nothing tying you down to the continental US- why aren't you there already? That's the kind of opportunity to jump on quick

it's a nice island, i could definitely handle living there for a year. it's fairly commercialized similar to the bahamas or something, so it's not like some islands where there's only one little nice area then the rest of the place is either totally undeveloped or poverty stricken ghettos. it's also different enough from anywhere in the u.s. that you'll get a new experience.

i'll be headed down there at the end of august for a week, hit me up if you're going to be down there then by chance.

i guess it really depends on the benefits. cost of living while you're there and things of that nature. 60-70 a year isn't gonna be that much if you're in a tourist mecca. which i'm pretty sure St. Thomas is. i think... anyways bottom line. figure out how much its gonna cost to live there the year... do the math and then if its worth it after all that go for it. you'll be back and travelling is always a key to just being so much more well rounded.

do it, you won't be eating out as much but you should pretty easily figure out where the local markets and shit are...

my buddy said the food prices there are comparable to NYC, which is what I'm used to.

if you dont go.....

i guarantee you'll look back in 10-20 years and kick yourself for ignoring an opportunity to experience something post people don't

and besides, you have absolutely nothing to hold you down right now

Things are looking good for this, but I dunno I have a lot of doubts about it. No matter what one decides in life there's always something to regret.

There's a lot to this decision (mostly stuff against going) thats either hard to explain, or I just don't want to air it on this forum.
