ben is in morocco at one point, and they've been in iraq plenty of times. i'm pretty sure they shoot mostly in oahu, and some scenes on other islands, but the entire show is shot in hawaii.

they said pay attention to the scenes in season 4 where richadr visits Locke as a child...pay attention to what item Locke chooses.

IIRC the writers have said that when the show ends we'll be able to look back at season one and know they've known what they were doing from the start. the adam and eve stones were specifically mentioned in that comment.

I dont know, when they had the "alternative endings" to the season finale with different characters in the coffin, which gave me the impression they are just writing the stuff up as they go along.
