Hate Hate Hate

It's undeserved hate too because unlike old Cowboys teams these are actually likable guys.

How could you not like guys like Witten, Romo, Ware, Williams, etc? The team is mostly good character guys now.

yep thanks for pointing that out, i had no idea the panthers had no title in their 12 year history

it must be nice to hold onto your superbowl trophies that you won when you were in elementary school

^i dont mind romo...not a fan of TO or Pacman or Tank but i notice you didnt mention them as character guys

if you heard the knucklehead dallas fans that call into sports radio shows everyday, you wouldnt say it was undeserved

that is one person, i'd argue there are 3 poor character players on the team. 3 out of 54 is no more or less than anyone else.

i heard after the Cleveland game Romo was leaving the airport (back in Dallas) and helped some elderly couple change a tire on the side of the road...he seems cool...fuck Jerry Jones though...what a fuckup...hey lets run Jimmie Johnson out of town because he won't be my puppet

Steve Smith is full of character......but let's no go there.

Tank Johnson and "Adam" Jones have actually been good since coming to Dallas.

I love the Panthers trolling.....seriously you just wish Carolina was half the franchise Dallas was. Hell if they were they would be my favorite team over Dallas, but we just aren't.

[Edited on September 15, 2008 at 4:06 PM. Reason : ^ I don't love Jerry, but you have to admit he WANTS to win more than any owner]

The Panthers will never have a fan base like Dallas. Most people who like the Panthers only like them because they are local. I'd argue, if Raleigh got a football team an enormous amount of you Panther fans would immediately convert.

Well, I'm from Charlotte, so are the Panthers...why WOULDN'T i be a Panthers fan? I dropped my 49ers allegiance (and their 5 superbowls) when my local city got an NFL franchise

too bad he's an idiot...he wants to win so bad, that he doesnt let his coaches do their jobs...maybe that would explain the 12 year dry spell of no playoff wins....i'll take Jerry Richardson all day...unlike all other NFL owners, he actually played in the NFL...he knows football...Jones is simply a businessman

Jerry Jones has done good and bad....I mean this is the man that fired the best NFL coach ever arguably. He fired Tom Landry for God's sake. And then Jimmy Johnson. But.....he built 3 Superbowl teams and has rebuilt the team now back to the top. Through the Dave Campo years I thought he was an idiot, but now he has made great moves recently.

i dont argue he wants to win, i just think if he really does want to win, he needs to be a little more hands off and let the coaches do their jobs

also if you guys got rid of TO, i wouldnt hate you nearly as much

Try to remain a little mature. Keep your bull shit in chit chat. I didn't make that statement based on nothing. I asked my roomate, who is a Panthers fan, if he would become a Raleigh fan if Raleigh got a football team. He said absolutely. It is a completely valid statement about all expansion teams.

Because, and I'm willing to put pretty good money on this, you have never been to San Francisco and became a 49ers fan because the bandwagon drove down your street. According to your theory, if I move to Washington state I should become a Seahhawks fan.

no, according to my theory, if you're from City A, and City A gets a footbal team, you pull for your home team

you made a statement about an entire fanbase based on one person

unless he is from raleigh, your friend sounds like a sellout

if you are from maryland, you should be a ravens fan (possibly still a colts fan)...but apparently when "the Cowboys bandwagon rode down your street" you jumped on

what association do you have with the cowboys, aside from jumping on their bandwagon when everybody else did in the 90s?

you can feel free to pull for whoever you like obviously, but I know if North Carolina got a MLB baseball team, the Twins would become my 2nd favorite team

I have no reason to need to justify why I am a Dallas fan to you. No matter what I say you will find some immature reason why it is dumb and you are a better fan. So go back to your own thread and quit being a dick in here.

YOU DAMN RIGHT AMERICA'S TEAM!!!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/America's_Team

Quote :
""I wanted to come up with a different twist on their team highlight film. I noticed then, and had noticed earlier, that wherever the Cowboys played, you saw people in the stands with Cowboys jerseys and hats and pennants. Plus, they were always the national game on television."
During the Cowboys' first game of the 1979 season, a nationally televised game against the St. Louis Cardinals (which Dallas won 22-21), the television announcer introduced the Cowboys as America’s Team and the nickname stuck.

The popularity of the Cowboys as America's Team has been supported somewhat by such NFL records as Team with Most Consecutive Sold Out Games...a streak of 160 home and away games (including playoffs) that began on December 23, 1990 at Philadelphia's Veterans Stadium and came to an end on December 24, 1999 in a Christmas Eve game against the New Orleans Saints in the Louisiana Super Dome.[6] Other examples are the NFL games featuring the Cowboys that result in record-breaking ratings at the time of broadcast, such as 7 of the 8 Super Bowl games featuring the Cowboys and the NFC Championship Game between the Cowboys and 49ers, the only non-Super Bowl NFL game to be ranked in the Top 45 Primetime Telecasts of All Time.[7]

I generally hate the Cowboys since I can't stand that so many fans of a team have no real connection to it... but I'm finding myself liking Romo and I actually think to is entertaining...

^ if you were born in the late 70s and didnt have a "natural" team to cheer for you probably went the Cowboys route, like moi.

and T.O. has really impressed the shit out of me tonight. Not what hes done with the ball but without it, hustling his ass off and he looks like he is really fucking fast now, faster than I have ever seen him before

27-16 Cowboys

If not for a few stupid turnovers by the 'boys, it would not have been so close.

I found that amazing that was the first win at Lambeau Field for the Cowboys.

A good win despite nearly no passing game other than Austin. T.O. had 2 catches for 17 yards and Crayton didn't catch a pass. Barber/Felix>>>>>>Jones/Barber.

Credit the job the packers did using C. Woodson and a safety on T.O.

but the Cowboys are too good,

- If you take away T.O., you leave Witten (7 Catches) to hurt you

- If you only rush 4, Romo is elusive and can make plays

- If you try to put too much emphasis on stopping T.O. and Witten, Barber and Felix will punish you

- Folk is helluva kicker

- Their Defense stepped up tonight against the packers who came into the game averaging 36 pts a game

RIGHT NOW THEY ARE DEFINITELY THE CLASS OF THE LEAGUE

They completely abandoned trying to run for most of the second half.

That non-call on the pass interference on T.O. on that 3rd and 8 was key.....looked close.

no they aren't. the media is making everyone think the cowboys are panicking. its good and bad when you are the most popular franchise. win and all espn sucks the team's dick. loose and the season is over, romo should be cut.

but about the game, T.O. needs to chill out. I completely agree with those who are saying Barber needs involved more over anyone.

I know they aren't panicking....thus the rolly eyes.

T.O. is not the most important player....Barber is. Why they quit running at all with him is beyond me.

Balance is the key......

Romo is the most important player. Romo calls the plays, when he gets to the line he can either call a run or a pass play and on Sunday he called way too many pass plays.

Barber is the motor, T.O. is the most dangerous, Felix is deadly and Witten is the sure thing

Romo out 4 weeks. Felix out 2-4 weeks, good thing they got Tashard Choice.

Mat McBriar, best NFL punter, and Sam Hurd, 4th WR, out for season.
