have you collected the eight stars? You'll see that "ending" after you do.

I'm not even going to try. I replayed through the game, the whole time looking for stars, and I found one. Not collected. I just saw it and had no fucking clue how to get it. And it wasn't easy to find it either. One of the stars require that you stand on a glacially slow moving cloud for literally 2 hours.

guess i'm not quite done with the game, seeing how I never saw them during my first play

the game is such that you can pretty much stop whenever. portability would make it totally worth the extra price of a cartridge.

I love the graphics on the big HDTV though

But yeah, a DS version would make a lot of sense

Just found all of the stars, but I used a little help. There was no way I would have ever figured all of that out.

I'm betting there's more you can do with them instead of just seeing them in the background. Notice they disappear if your character looks at them? I'm sure more and more things are going to be found in this game

^oh yea, he's pretentious as hell

Quote :
"Blow explains that in college, he double-majored in English and Computer Science – and he puts the difference this way: “English is very much creatively-driven. It’s mostly analysis and interpretation and history of literature. And basically, the entire bachelor’s degree in English is all about bullshitting things. And Computer Science, which was my other major, was exactly the opposite of that. You had to know what you were doing, and you had to know what you were talking about.”"

can't say I disagree

it's sad that he's basically saying that all other interpretations are wrong, that the story has to be viewed one particular way. if the storyline is so fragmentary and ambiguous, you shouldn't get upset when gamers take it to mean something else than you originally intended.

^i disagree. i don't think he even finished his english degree (he only ever said he majored in it, and wikipedia says he only got a comp sci degree). who is he to judge a program he didn't finish?

Quote :
"Intentional fallacy, in literary criticism, addresses the assumption that the meaning intended by the author of a literary work is of primary importance. By characterizing this assumption as a "fallacy," a critic suggests that the author's intention is not important.

Deconstruction - Asserts that even if the author states intentions for the meaning of a work, that meaning is not privileged above other interpretations."

Will be buying this game very soon.

primer shows you the story, braid just has text snippets and an ambiguous last level. i don't think you can compare the two.

well, at least halo was on in the background

that game has a much deeper story

he's right though, the only point to this game is using your unlimited go back in time potion to constantly save yourself from falling in the fire

that's it

I did too, I was being sarcastic

What was everyone's last puzzle piece/most frustrating puzzle?

I've mentioned mine before, but mine was the piece above the door in "crossing the gap"

the puzzle where you had to stop the plants from hitting the three trolls (or whatever they are). you had to do this by timing the delay of the plants and then use them to double jump up to the art piece

that shit took me forever
