the whole love story thing I could have done without but I loved the robots.

My older brother was the one that remembered everything from the cartoon and he was not pissed off when everything wasn't right. This is an adaptation people...good God. I don't understand why people have such high expectations of something that needs to be related to the masses of people. You tell me how you would have designed the robots, make up the design and then make a movie. Then I we all can critique your shit piece of work..mmkay.

I just want to know why Bumblebee has the voice of a middle-aged British man.

In every single iteration of Transformers, Bumblebee is young and goofy. Bumblebee as a car in the new movie does lots of stuff that is cocky and goofy...and then when he speaks, he's a reverent Brit?

LAME.

I don't want to see a photorealistic same-size-as-Starscream Megatron turn into a gun that's somehow small enough for Starscream to hold.

I just want a movie that's not filled with a lot of stupid crap. T&A I can deal with, but not stupid crap.

They probably did that in MAYBE 4-5 episodes (optimus, bumblebee, omega-supreme I think, and maybe Wratchet). I have the entire collection on DVD and I am pretty damn sure that 90% of the episodes were about the Decepticons simply just trying to obliterate the Autobots and/or gain resources to make weapons and energon.

and a big "meh" at transformers. probably the most overrated movie last year.

To respond, I was being very general in the terms how critical TWW is on every book, movie, tv show, actor, cd, etc...its almost like a pissing contest on here. It's one thing to be critical, but to be idiotic, ignorant, and perputually talking down anything put out and trying to top the other's opinion is just lame.

I have no problems with those putting out opinions and thoughts. B/c I know I will, if you want to jump down my throat and return the flames back at me, thats kool. I won't cry about it or run. But to merely make ignorant statements for the sake of making it just to top the previous poster in how "stupid" or "bad" something is just ridiculous to me.

But hey, this is teh internet, do as you please. If you want to follow me around and flame on...have it.

well I didnt read the whole thread so I'm not sure what he said that was ignorant, I just saw this page and was responding because i get tired of people using 1 of 2 arguments, the first being "well you couldnt do X any better than the person you put down" and the second "you just dislike it because its big/popular."

I mean... think what you want but I sincerely meant every word of criticism I had for Transformers and I wasn't trying to "top the previous poster." And I don't see how anything I said can be construed as ignorant, maybe you're talking about someone else. or maybe you just like the word "ignorance," i'm not seeing much of it in this thread from either side.

I don't see why you people have to act like this every time people don't like a movie. This happened for hancock too. "you guys are just criticizing for the sake of criticism, there's nothing you could possibly truly dislike about this movie!"

\/ - virtually everyone bashing the movie in here gave perfectly legit reasons for disliking it, I think you just enjoy typing the shit that you're typing now and putting down people with different movie tastes. did you miss where I said "I don't care that people like it, that's cool, but I don't."

Understandable...I def used the argument "lets see what you can do" as more of a rhetorical/sarcastic argument. I honestly don't expect others to go out and do it, but at least take a retrospective look at what they are saying and think of what could have/should have been done to make the "point of argument" better.

I detest the way things are put down..with very little explaination of what could have realistically been done better. I am all for opinions and arguments, but rationalize and give substance behind it. Just a lil thought into what people are saying.

But I feel what you saying CalledToArms Good point made.

I took what you said as perfectly legit. Lots of people criticize without ever thinking about what goes on or into decisions on the other side on an issue. And that is regardless if some one is serious or in jest. Too much knee jerk reaction happens in the internet to things outside of it, and people can voice whatever opinion they choose because they can.

But its everyone has an opinion so whatcha gonna do?

In regards to Transformers, I cannot wait to see the outcry to the live action G.I. Joe. In all honesty I am happy just to be given the chance to relive being a kid, and having other kids be just as excited by a franchise I loved in my youth. Nothings perfect people. Welcome to Earth.

I had to copy some data from one Excel file to another today... so I printed the page out and held it up to my monitor and let it "read" it, after which I traveled across the universe at light speed. Maybe one day they will invent a computer that doesnt rely on "eyes" to process/read data. Oh happy day

I remember later on that night after the Botcon concert I was extremely drunk and thought he was gonna come back down to the ballroom to get drunk with us after he played.

But he only came back down to try and sell us CDs, lol. Still seemed like a cool guy the two times I talked to him face to face.
