nah i seriously do see old folks that still puff away and wonder why i should quit...i mean i know lung cancer could happen, but with so many old folks still smoking, i feel i'll beat the odds...plus i know i'll quit by age 30 at least, and you can reverse all the effects if you quit by 30

Trust me, if you smoke, even outside, your stuff smells nasty. You bring it back in with you after a smoke.

I won't even live with an outside smoker, or someone that just smokes in bars. They never realize how nasty they smell. I'd have to leave presents from my grandma in the garage for a month and open them for my birthday instead of Christmas as a kid they stunk so bad (inside smoker)

It doesn't smell as bad when you smoke outside, but trust me you still smell like ass because of it.

I have kicked out roommates that lied to me about occasional outdoor smoking. You buy cigs and you do not live anywhere near me. I don't put up with that "I don't consider myself a smoker because it's only sometimes" bullshit.

Totally there NRR. My little brother stayed with qntmken and me this summer and his clothes were OMG . We had to wash them twice to get the smell out. It is a stale sick smell. I used to be so embarrassed about that when I lived with my parents and now my little bro is going through it. He also has asthma and SO DOES MY EFFING MOM. There is so much about smoking that is sooo bad and disgusting. Not only does your breath, hair, body, clothes, and EVERYTHING STINK but you also are less healthy bc of the constant placement of smoke in the lungs.

I do not smoke bc of all the bad that comes with smoking. I really appreciate clean air.

my dad has smoked all of my life

my mom smoked until i was about 5, then made a "deal" with me, saying she would quit if i promised never to start. i think its fucking disgusting anyways so its not an issue for me

dad has tried real hard to give it up a few times, can never seem to shake it

im pretty sure mom is a lying bitch and still does, though not that ive actually seen

whatever...their health, not mine. ive told both of them that as they age, i will not help care for them should they develop health problems because of it.

Yep. My mom has pretty severe asthma that didn't appear until she was in her early 30's...while it's never been confirmed, the most likely cause is that both of her parents smoked until she was in high school.

my mom smoked while she was pregnant. not sure if that causes asthma, but i have it anyway and them smoking my whole life didn't help it when i was a kid either. luckily, i grew out of my asthma
