I have an electric toothbrush!

Never put them in the side pockets of travel bags because if someone hits it and it starts vibrating, people will think you brought special fun toys with you!

i wear real suits to work. not some crazy pastel colored shirt with a contrasting tie and a pair of dockers. a tailored suit with a white or blue shirt. i learned this habit from my grandfather and my father, and apparently it stuck.

i dont text either.

I asked for my wife's parents' blessing before i proposed.

i guess that's not a habit per se, just an old school tradition.

I've never dealt with this T9 business, and it sounds like I don't want to. Full keyboard phones FTW.

I organize my bookshelves and CD collection alphabetically (not sure if that's old-school or just anal).
I drive a full-size, full-frame, rear-wheel drive car with a V8 engine.
While I am a fan of many modern types of music, I also listen to Sinatra, Tony Bennett, John Coltrane, and Louis Armstrong.
I use capitalization and punctuation in text messages, and I do not abbreviate. (yes, text messages themselves are not old-school, I still find that no one else seems to do this)
I spell correctly.

Where did i say i wanted to procreate... I've actually thought about adopting on my own but then i think i'll wait till the kid can have a mother and if she's down with it I'm selling my balls in California for 80k each.

- There is nothing to learn. You just type, and if you don't get the word you want, you press the swap key until you get it. 75% of the time, the word you want comes up.
- I don't have a keyboard phone either. I have a 5+ year old Siemens.

Just because you are very good at "old school texting" doesn't mean it is useless. Press x keys, or press 2x or 3x keys for the same word... hmmm....

- It is damn obvious how it works. I never read the instructions. You just start typing.

WTF? How does that make it worse??? Not like you use some alternative method that avoids the keypad altogether.

It is still a matter of pressing some keys, or pressing double, triple, or more keys for the same word. You will be using the keypad a LOT aless with T9.

oh so you DO know how to use it.

Quote :

but you still say you don't want to "learn" it?

*****************************************

either way, look, i don't know what language you use, but like i said, the vast majority of time, the words you want come up.

my wife has a habit of sending messages typed using T9 but without using the swap key to get the correct word in case the one she wants doesn't come up. in a 10-15 word message, perhaps 1 or 2 is the wrong one. which means for 10-15 words, you will have to press the swap key just 1 or 2 times.

still, T9 means pressing keys upto 1/3rd or fewer times.

to type "hello" do you hit certain keys 5 times, or 13 times?

5 times:
- you are using T9 : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/T9_%28predictive_text%29
- you have at least average IQ

13 times:
- you are not using T9
- you are a fast multi-tap typer IF you can bring up the word as fast someone who used T9 (but then again, if that is you, surely you can hit keys 5 times even faster, so yeah, you are lacking some neurons)

- I can be overly polite to people most of the time (unless it's a close friend).
- I handmake gifts and cards when I'm involved with girl. and write in cursive to be romantic.
- I try to avoid cursing around women and sometimes stand up if they stand up.
- I still HATE cell phones. I only have one because my parents gave it to me.
- and then there's the usual high morals/values when it comes to dating I guess.
