my ticket has been escalated. "someone will be with you shortly" apparently meant "sit at your chair for hours, preventing yourself from going afk while watching for text, and wait."

after 5 hours of no one contacting me, i get an email saying my characters have been restored.

my characters are restored!

looks like the only shit i lost was what i had in the mail (money from auctions, etc).

both GMs were scripting me. i told them to talk to me like a human being

scripting is when they're talking or typing directly from a technician book. like "Hello, my name is _____. How may I help you today?" he was so wrapped up in answering with pre-formed statements that he wasn't even LISTENING to me.

and yes, there is a gnome race.

what I love even more is when you call tech support and it ends up being an indian who says Hello, this is "john" or "bobby" or some other generic american name.
