I expected this to be a thread about how DirecTV goes out during storms. 9/5/2008 11:59:18 PM |

I never lose sattelite signal. even when we had the tornadoes roll through here and all that crazy hail back in the spring, I lost internet but never lost sattelite. 9/6/2008 12:03:05 AM |

HD channels were a little spotty tonight during the heaviest rain, but we're good to go now
it takes some serious motherfucking cloud cover to break up the signal 9/6/2008 12:08:01 AM |

on a side note, my friend's parents are trying to get DirecTV hooked up at their mountain house in Matthews. Their house is surrounded by trees. The guy that came out said that he could get satellite signal, but they most likely wouldn't be able to get local channels because those satellites are lower in the sky. Is this true, or was he just too lazy to put the dish on the roof? 9/6/2008 9:43:21 AM |

They are not physically lower, but the satellite dish may have to be tilted at a lower angle to see the satellite. 9/6/2008 11:42:38 AM |
