Maybe if Bev Perdue wouldn't write a state budget that fully funds vacant positions for a slush fund so that her buddies can pay for all their pet projects while they only spend a measly 2 or 3 percent on the criminal justice system than we could have more assistant DA's.

I voted Easley last time and probably would again if he were still running, but there's something about Bev Perdue that just doesn't sit well with me. She reminds me somewhat of Elizabeth Dole, who I now strongly regret ever supporting. Plus, from my understanding of how things have gone in Charlotte relative to the rest of the state, I get the impression that McCrory would be a more competent governor. I'm sure that a number of you will tell me that Charlotte's gone to hell in and handbasket or some such, and to a large extent I'm just working off my personal experiences here, but that's where it stands.
