Well, genius, I assume that most door handle designers are in fact intelligent enough to put the screws on the OTHER SIDE of the handle so that someone trying to get in and take your shit can't just unscrew the handle. TO PUT THE SCREWS ON THE SAME SIDE THAT THE KEY SLOT IS ON WOULD DEFEAT THE PURPOSE OF HAVING A LOCKABLE DOOR HANDLE, WOULDN'T IT, GENIUS? Thus the screws are not going to be accessible from the side you put the key in. How hard is this to grasp?
If you still can't understand it, look at the fucking door knobs in your house. Notice that the side the locking tab is on (Which should be inside the room you're trying to keep people out of) is, in fact, the only side that has access to the screws.

^ yeah, that's exactly what i said. putting the screws on the same side as the key hole would defeat the purpose of even having a lock. 8/25/2008 8:07:28 AM |

take a free card like a vic card or mvp card or something and force it through the S that it will have to make to hit the latching mechanism... it will do it i promise... and if you work at it enough it will slip through and unlock it... but more than likely if it is an interior door it has a cheat on it somewhere that can unlock it... usually either a pin hole in the door knob or a hole next to the door knob with what appears to be a flat-head screwdriver looking screw looking thing... either stick something long and skinny in the hole or twist the screw looking thing 90 degrees and the door should unlock.... unless you have an exterior door handle on an interior door.. 8/25/2008 8:09:12 AM |
