<3 my macs

Have a G4, clam shell iBook, 17" macbook pro and three various ipods.

The family has many more.

You're right, it isn't their fault. Still doesn't change the fact that the PCs in the library are like that.


I've never had a problem with my Acer laptop, and I've had it for more than 4 years. Still running strong, no issues, no viruses, no spyware, never had to reinstall XP -- no problems at all. Great computer. The same can be said for my iMac, which I've had for ~3 years. Again, no issues. I just prefer using OSX instead of Windows.

Your family just wasted $10,000 on computer equipment that could have been other brands and be just as good for $5000.

and how the hell does a mac help you do graphic design better? the one-button mouse makes everything twice as hard, plus the fact that macs only run about 3 different software suites SURE MAKES IT = FREEDOM.

That is one thing I really hate about those Apple stores, the "genius bar" or whatever the hell they call it. My sister went in there with a problem that went beyond, "oh hay guize, I can't upload music onto my ipod!" and the guy was really rude about essentially having no fucking clue what was wrong with her laptop. We brought it to Best Buy and they figured it out in about 5 minutes

I have never used a MAC and am happy using a PC. What have we learned the past 2 days? The DH Hill sucks, The Reynolds Deck sucks, and the gym sucks! Oh well, I still like NC State.

Macs are great computers. Mine is really fast, easy to use. Can't complain.
It's different from PC. That's why you people don't like it.

Actually, a lot of internal polling being done on campus suggests that the number of Macs being used on campus has risen significantly. The Bookstores did about 50/50 business on Macs and PCs this year, and very few of those sales come from Design students.

When I was homeless and living at NC State's library, I preferred someone leaving themselves logged in on a PC, rather than a Mac.

The Bio department is crawling with Macs as well, but the most we ever used them for was to take pictures and video of bacteria and cell growth, which you could even do with a freaking cell phone nowadays.

I was pissed about the Mac situation in the library one day because I was almost late to a meeting because the clock on the computer just stopped working. It was about 15 mins behind so I was freaking out trying to get somewhere on time. WTF! Other people have told me that's not uncommon, but I dunno. Yes I know I have a phone and watch, but geez...you'd think something that's supposed to be so smart would know how to keep time correctly.
